-is 30 1/4in. Long (95%)
-wears size 4 diapers
-wears 18 month clothes
-wears size 3 shoes
-nurses when she wakes up and before she goes to bed at night - we are weaning slowly.  She takes a sippy cup of pumped milk twice a day
-her iron was low when we went in for her check up so she has to take iron every day now
-eats 3 meals a day and an afternoon snack
-sleeps 12-13 hours at night
-stacks her food when she eats - I have no idea why she does this
-loves to play rough.  The rougher we are with her, the harder she laughs.  Don't worry-we aren't too rough with her.
-just takes one nap a day now, usually around 11 or 12 for about 2 1/2 hours
-has become miss independent since she's one now.  She does not want to be rocked.
-is obsessed with Mickey Mouse!!! It comes on tv and she squeals with excitement and starts dancing.  You point out anything Mickey Mouse to us in stores.
-talks, and talks, and talks!  On our way to Monroe the other day, you had your Mickey Mouse in front of you and talked to him almost the entire way to Monroe.  Poor mickey, his ears might fall off!
-has 6 teeth. 4 on top and 2 on bottom
-loves her Mother's Day out teachers.  She dives for them when we get close to her room now.
-laughs when we are laughing.  It's really funny!
-constantly takes off her socks and shoes.  She knows how to unvelcro her shoes 😁 I'm waiting for the day when I look in the back of the car and she is completely naked-I know it's coming!
-her hair has gotten so long!  It curls in the back 😍 and I actually have to put a bow in it now to keep it out of her eyes
-had a great first birthday party!!! -post to come

Mia had a rough 12 month check up.  Poor girl.  She had to get shots and her blood drawn to check iron levels. It took me and 3 nurses to hold her down to draw blood 😥.  Also, I had noticed over the last couple months that when she was walking behind something, she was dragging her left foot and standing on the top of it (ouch), so i mentioned it to her doctor and she looked at it and decided it definitely needed to be checked out.  We have an appt with an orthaepedic at Shriners April 11th.  I am praying and hopeful that it will just be an easy fix.  With this news, the shots, and the blood work, I was emotionally overwhelmed by the end of this appt.  I got back in the car and the tears started flowing 😭.  It's tough being a parent!!! They called later that day to inform me that her iron was low.  I was thankful when that day was over!

Everything goes in the ground 😔
This girl loves slides!!!!
Crazy nap hair
Every morning!  At least it's an easy clean up and she's occupied!
Loves her food!!!!!
Ready to watch the bulldogs!
She was a little unsure about champ.  I'm very impressed she didn't scream!
Most mornings I get Mia up and put her in the bed with me and we play and watch cartoons
Yep, one of those days!
Riding a tricycle at dd and papas house
Destroying dd and papas house
Nothing is Mia proof in our house 😳
Playing (eating) the window clings
I had Molly and Paige one Friday.  It was a busy day!
Thank goodness for Legos!!!
She never keeps her socks and shoes on
She loves her Cosmo
These curls!  😍

Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my little girl!!!
I cannot believe she is 1 today!
This past year has been the hardest but by far, the best year of my life!!

Mia,
Happy 1st birthday!  I cannot believe it's been a year since you came into our lives.  You are so sweet! You give great hugs and high fives and kisses!  You are also so silly! You definitely keep us laughing!  We are so blessed to be your parents!  I prayed for you before you even existed and God far exceeded my expectations!  You were an answered prayer for sure!  I love you way more than I can even explain!  Mia, I hope you have a great birthday and many more to come!
❤️ mommy

11 Months Old

Ahhh, my baby is going to be a year old next month!!  That is crazy!!!!
I feel like Mia's personality has really come out this month.  She's so sweet and so silly!  She keeps us laughing!

Mia:
-weighs 19lbs 13oz
-is 29inches long
-wears 12-18 month clothes
-wears size 4 diapers
-wears size 3 shoes
-nurses 5-6 times a day
-sleeps 12-13 hours at night
-takes a nap around 10:30 or 11 and then maybe 3:30 or 4.  The afternoon nap has become a battle!  She's so tired but fights it!!! Most of the time she wins :-/
-she loves to stand on her head!  Probably 50% of the day she's in the "downward dog" position and even walks around like this.  Crazy girl!
-she loves to lean backwards when we are holding her.  Her daddy does it a lot with her and she loves it!
-she shakes her head no a lot
-says uh-oh every time she drops (throws) something.
-throws her toys out of the bathtub now.  I'm not sure what this is all about.
-she has toys in our bathroom that she plays with while I'm getting ready.  She has started throwing her toys in the bathtub with me while I'm getting a bath.  I guess she thinks I need toys too :-). The musical toys now have a really creepy music thanks to this.
-has finally graduated to the big bath tub! It was a process, but we made it.  We had to put her in the tub with the duck tub beside her for a few days then we had to get a mat to go in the bottom of the tub.  She loves it now, thank goodness!!
-she loves her daddy.  When he comes home from work she gets sooo excited, crawling to him as fast as she can!!!
-has stood more by herself.  She stands for a long time if she's distracted.  As soon as she realizes what she's doing, she freaks out a little and sits down.
-has 2 teeth on bottom and 2 teeth on top with 2 more on top that are about to pop through.
-has really started talking a lot more clearly.  We understand a lot more words she is saying now and she will just talk to us almost in sentences like she expects us to totally understand what she's saying. It's really funny!
-she had a great first valentines day!  Her daddy got her some roses, a balloon, and a little stuffed monkey.  It was the sweetest thing and Mia is still playing with the balloon.  She has the best daddy!
I can't believe her first birthday is so close!  I sure do love this girl more every day!
Warning: picture overload!
Uh-oh

She loves her kitchen now!
She sleeps Indian style with her head on her bumper a lot.

Everybody sits on doors, right?
She discovered that her bib holds food.  She checks it every time now!
"Helping" mommy with dishes
She found her baby bathtub and decided to climb in
This is how we had to transition to the big bathtub. I thought the duck was going to have to stay forever
We went to the zoo with friends and had a blast!!!!
Cousin bath time!
Big bathtub finally :-)
She had a blast at Molly's 3rd birthday!
Now the duck is a ball pit.
1st valentines!
Shopping -aka leaving a trail of Cheerios
All day long!

9 Months Old!

We are so close to a year, I cannot believe it!

Mia:

-weighs 18lbs 8oz (50%)
-is 28 1/4 inches long (75%)
-wears size 4 diapers
-wears 12 month clothes
-nurses every 3 hours
-sleeps about 13 hours every night!!!  Wow, how this has changed!!! We finally did the Cry it out after going in her room about 10 times every night. She is a great little sleeper now!!  Thank goodness!! We were all exhausted!  She usually sleeps from 7:30/8 - 8:30/9:30!  Huge improvement!
-is crawling everywhere and so fast!
-picks up every little thing on the floor :-/. She ate a bug the other day, yucky!  She will truly eat anything!
-can clap her hands and its the cutest thing!
-has an ATTITUDE!  She throws her head back and arches her back screaming her little head off while kicking.  Oh boy, we definitely have our hands full.
-stubborn!!! (I have no clue where she got this ;-) We tell her no and she just looks back at us and smiles then continues doing what she was doing.
-we had to move down her crib to the lowest setting because she was standing up at night leaning over the side.  She is fearless!
-in the mornings, she stands up in her crib looking at the door and just waits patiently until someone comes and gets here.  It's super sweet!
-has started walking behind her push walker.
-stands up on everything she can get her little hands on
-has discovered door stops and loves them!
-might turn into a Cheerio.  She would eat them all day if I let her.
-loves table food
-lost 1oz, so we have to go back at 10 1/2 months for a weight check.
-does great with the sippy cup.  She has figured out that she has to hold it up to get the water out.
-would eat 24/7 if I let her.  She never turns down food when we offer it and we always just have to stop feeding her eventually.  I have no clue how she lost weight other than she doesn't stop moving.
-Thanksgiving- where do I begin.  My parents rented a condo in gulf shores for the week, so me, Brooke, and the kids decided to go down Sunday with my parents.  The girls all did wonderful on the way down there.  Then came the night.... Absolutely horrible!!!!! Mia screamed all night!  She hated the pack and play. I really wanted to pack up and head back home about 3 that morning.  She did it for the next 2 nights.  The 4th night, I put her in the bed with me and she slept great.  Only woke up once. So when Todd got down there on Thursday, she started out in between us then kept rolling toward Todd.  He ended up sleeping at the end like a dog, ha (poor guy).  We had a great thanksgiving day with everyone and enjoyed family time at the beach.  We were so glad to get home and get Mia in her bed in her room though!  Needless to say, we won't be traveling anywhere overnight for a while :-)

This girl lights up my days!  She is so fun!!

8 months old!

Mia is 8 months old and a very busy girl!

Mia:
-Weighs 18lbs 9oz
-Wears 9-12 and 12 month clothes
-Wears size 4 diapers
-Still nurses every 2 1/2 hours
-sleep-what's that? this child is not a very good sleeper!
-sleeps on her stomach, most of the time with her booty in the air.
-has 2 bottom that came through on her 8 month birthday.  Poor child was screaming :-(
-cannot crawl yet, but she constantly goes from sitting to all fours and just rocks
-pulls up to her knees on anything she can.
-can walk when we hold her hands.  She walks on her tip toes.  So cute!
-dance to music.  She rocks back and forth when she hears music.
-hates snuggling! She is definitely my child!  Don't contain me :-)
-had her first real sickness :-(. She had an infection which developed from her allergies not clearing up. She had to start amoxicillin and then she broke out in a rash all over from it.  Poor girl, this all happened while she was cutting her 2 teeth.  Needless to say, there was no sleep and lots of tears in this house for a couple of days!
-knows what the word eat means.  If she hears the word, she goes crazy.  She starts trying to get my shirt or starts whining until she gets food.  I'm very careful not to say it to her in public unless I have food ready to go :-/
-loves puffs and apparently Cheerios.  They give her Cheerios at mothers day out and tell me that she loves them.
-constantly wants to get down. I'm not sure where she thinks she's going to go, but she needs to get down.
-loves to honk noses.  It's the first thing she wants to do in the mornings after she eats
-can hold the sippy cup by herself and put it in her mouth.  Sometimes she'll tip it up.
-can wave bye bye sometimes.  It's so cute.  She curls up her little hand.
-loves when I blow dry my hair.  She squeals and talks at the top of her lungs, then stops when I'm done.
-dressed up as a monster for her first Halloween.  Paige, Molly, and Ethan came over to trick or treat in our neighborhood, so we walked around with them while Molly and Ethan got the candy.  She had a blast.
-loves her teachers at mdo.  She reaches for them and gives them a hug when we get there.  It makes my heart happy to know she loves them so much!
-if she really likes you, she gives you a hug.  It's the sweetest thing.  She puts her hands around your head and leans her forehead into your face.  Melts my heart!!!

She insists on sitting backwards and with her foot through the smallest hole every time!
Her first Halloween!

Mia and Paige fighting over a toy.  Paige was so mad and Mia was laughing.
Her first antibiotic.  Poor girl, she did not feel good!
First 2 teeth
She stays on all fours. Now if she can just get those knees moving.
