23 weeks & Happy Thanksgiving!
Warning: very long, sappy post :-)
One day I'm actually going to get caught up on my weeks. I'm actually 24 weeks today!
At 23 weeks, baby is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound! That's crazy to me, that this baby is now over a pound! Mia is still very active and has decided to practice her karate and gymnastics in the middle of the night :-/. I'm really very thankful she is so active, maybe not as thankful at 3 in the morning :-). Todd finally got to feel her kick this week! I feel like I have swallowed a whole turkey! I guess it's only fitting for thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!! I have so much to be thankful for this year! Sometimes, I get so caught up in this world that I forget how blessed I am! I have a house and food and a loving family, which is more than enough to be thankful for!
First and most important, I'm thankful to God- salvation, freedom, grace, mercy, and the list goes on and on! I'm so grateful that he blessed us with a little baby and answered our prayers!
I'm thankful for my husband, he is such a blessing in my life! He is always so willing to help me out whenever needed and provides for our family! He Always puts me before himself and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it! Im grateful for the Love he has for the Lord and how he uses his talents to serve Him! He is one of the nicest, smartest, most loving people I know and I'm so thankful that I get to share the rest of my life with him! I have no doubt in my mind that he is going to be the best dad!! Mia is going to have him wrapped around her little finger and I can't wait to see him be a wonderful father to our daughter!
I'm thankful to my parents!!! They are a wonderful example of what marriage should be, especially in this day and age when it's so easy to just throw it away! Don't get me wrong, they have had their fair share of arguments and fights, but its how they handled those situations! I never doubted that they loved each other and they showed that! They always put each other before themselves! I'm grateful for how they raised us! We were always raised in church and to love The Lord! I'm also thankful for growing up on a farm! There are so many experiences and life lessons that I feel like a lot of people missed out on! From playing in cotton trailers, riding 4-wheelers, shelling peas and butter beans, to rolling in the mud! We had a great childhood! My dad is always helping others out- such a great example of what God would have us to do! I remember as a child going down the road and if someone was stopped on the side of the road, we always pulled over for my dad to help! As a kid, we thought it was miserable, ha! My mom was always helping out at the church decorating or teaching or cooking! Now, they are great grandparents! I only hope I can be half the parents that they are!
I'm thankful for my sister and brother! My sister is truly my best friend! I know we probably didn't act like we liked each other when we were children, but I love her so much and would do anything for her, she is my baby sister after all! She has grown up to be such a great person! She's a wonderful wife and an awesome mother! Doc & Molly are truly blessed! Doc, my brother in law, is such a good husband & father. He works so hard to provide for his family! Molly, I love her so much! She has been such a blessing in our lives, I can't imagine life without her! My brother and I have such a special relationship, I think there truly is a twin connection! He always lets me boss him around and just does what I tell him to do, ha. I'm grateful that we got to grow up so close together and I knew he was always there when I needed him, and still is. He takes after my dad in being someone who would do anything he could to help someone else out!
I'm thankful for my in-laws for accepting me into the family as if I had always been a part of it! To Todd's dad and mom for raising this amazing man I get to call my husband! To my brother in law and sister in laws for accepting me for who I am and allowing me to be a part of their lives!
I'm thankful for my friends and for what they mean to me and Todd! Thanks for sticking with us through the good and bad times! We are so grateful to have several close friendships with other couples going through this same journey in life with us! I'm also grateful for our church family and the relationships we created there. Also, for mentoring us and leading us on our spiritual walk!
All in all, I'm just thankful and I don't show it enough! I'm thankful to all 2 of you who actually just read this all, haha!
